The garage has logged this with VW who claim that my chassis number is not one of those affected. I was further told that while high, it isn't terribly excessive consumption and will not harm other parts of the engine. Sport Auto timed these cars at the Hockenheim Ring and they had the same lap time. The other times are predicted, not actual. But there is no reason to believe they would not be very close on all the circuits.
If you want to see which laps times are extrapolated and which are actual lap times you need to download the excel spreadsheet which separates the actual lap times and extrapolated by colour. You can also sort the times in the excel file by circuit.
It does say all this at the top of the article.
What's the purpose of extrapolating a lap time?
Some cars have never been around Tsukuba, Focus RS for example, some cars tested at Tsukuba have never been timed around Bedford. This table is to give an idea of what lap time the car could get if they were timed on a circuit where there are no actual times available.
Sorry for any confusion
If anyone want to submit a lap time to replace an extrapolated figure, feel free.
Or if you want to submit a time for a car not on the sheet, again, feel free.

Hi

Sport Auto timed these cars at the Hockenheim Ring and they had the same lap time.
