Story of the Day – ΡΑΛΛΥ ΔΕΘ 2025
Story of the day for me was the 306 MAXI showing the new cars what time it is.
I’m not sure what happened at the start of the day but he was running in third place until the final stage. In stage 3 and 4 he was getting closed down but he was still a tiny 0.2 seconds ahead of fourth place entering the power stage. It was a big ask for him to keep the current 4wd car which was in 4th place at bay. Ultimately the new 4wd machinery passed him on the final stage with a time that was four seconds faster.
To be fair, the power stage was always going to suit the modern four wheel drive cars with tight turns and a lot of braking and accelerating.
But what a battle to the end!
About the DETH Rally/ΡΑΛΛΥ ΔΕΘ
Traditionally it is the season finale of the Greek Rally Championship (Tarmac) and is held on the last week of the international EXPO in Thessaloniki. The rally uses stages around Taxiarchis, Polygyros, Arnea and Vasilika.
