DETH Rally 2025 – Spectating GUIDE (ΔΕΘ Ράλλυ)
This is the StrikeEngine preview to the DETH Rally 2025 14.9.2025 . I’ll include the routes, the times, maps and possible viewing spots. VIDEO Summary Here
Saturday – Scrutineering, Ceremonial Start – DETH Rally/ΔΕΘ ΡΑΛΛΥ 2025
On the Saturday 13th will be the ceremonial parts of the rally which gives the general public (ie people who wouldn’t normally think to watch motorsport) access to the cars while they are at International Exhibition of Thessaloniki

Scrutineering 10:00-14:00
Shakedown 15:00-18:00
I believe the cars will be using this route (I don’t know which direction they’ll run) for the shakedown prior to the rally starting. I am not sure this is the route but I think it’s a good guess.
Ceremonial Start 20:30
The traditional rally start ceremony at the south gate of the Expo. I presume where the scrutineering took place earlier in the day.
From here, again I presume the cars will be put in Parc Ferme in Agia Anastasia where the service park for the rally will be.
Sunday Schedule – DETH Rally/ΔΕΘ ΡΑΛΛΥ 2025
Cars will leave at two minute intervals
Service Park Out – 08:00
In past years the service park has always been an interesting place to walk around. This year it’s in Agia Anastasia.
I’m not exactly sure on the location of the park but it will be within a few hundred meters of this spot. Parking should be available on the road up to the monastery and in the past access has been pretty good. ie you have been able to get up close to the cars.

Stage 1 – Livadi-Petrokerasa. Arrive 08:10, Start 08:13
Not the usual start point this year but arguably this start point make more sense. Stage start point is here, finish point is here.
This is the route.

Stage 1 Viewing Points
The Start – It’s not exactly clear where the start is but it will be on this road. In the past I’ve got quiet close to the start. There are worse things than seeing cars launch of the line.

Point 1 – This is the most obvious place. Good access to the Polygyros road. Should be a relatively quick corner also. And depending where you stand you should be able to see the cars for a few hundred meters going up the hill.

Point 2 – About a 10-15 minute walk from point 1. Relatively high speed section.
Point 3 – Access with car from Peristera. Hairpin turn.

Point 4 – Accessible from Galatista, slow/medium corner.

Finish – See the car’s finish. And follow them to start of next stage if you wanted.

Fuel – Approximately 8:48 (If it takes 35 minutes for stage 1 and the drive)

The cars will be stopping for fuel here. Another opportunity to get up close to the cars mid rally. Fuel should be super fresh with plenty of 100 Octane for your own car!
Stage 2 Arnea-Paleochora. Arrive 09:18, Start 09:21
This is the route.

A big drive from Petrokerasa to Arnea. And this stage only has 1 viewing point accessible by car (accessible by roads which are not part of the stage).
The first 60% of the stage is very twisty but it opens up nicely towards the end. It’s a shame it’s such a long walk to get into the stage from Paleochora and the road is also quiet tight after the finish so parking will probably be a bit of a nightmare.
Stage 2 Viewing Points
I probably wouldn’t bother with the start because it’s so far out of the way. Having said that, the road is absolutely amazing to Arnea, it would not be a bad experience to follow some Rally cars to Arnea from the end of Stage 1, see some cars at the start and then come back on that amazing road.

Crossroads – I expect this spectating point will be very popular. Access to Vasilika is good from here using the Paleokastro road.

Point 2 – If you are feeling adventurous, this point is accessible by car on fire tracks. I have personally driven this route (the shorter of the two) and it was passable, even with a slightly lowered car. It take 20 minutes to get there but if you walk left from there towards the end for a few minutes that stretch will probably see the highest speeds of the whole rally.

Finish – I don’t think there will be a lot to see here, a lot of trees and a lot of corners. Plus the parking issue.

Service Park Return 10:26
30 minute service. Agia Anastasia
Fuel & Leave Service Park 11:16
Refuelling will be done at the exit of the service park in Agia Anastasia
Stage 3 Vasilka – Petrokerasa. Arrive 11:31, Start 11:34
Viewing points as above
Fuel, 12:09 Approx
Same BP as before in Paleochora
Stage 4 Arnea – Paleochora. Arrive 12:39, Start 12:42
Viewing points as above
Service Park In 13:47
Agia Anastasia
Service Park Out & Fuel 14:37
Stage 5 Power Stage. Galatista – Livadi, Arrive 14:57, Start 15:00
This is the route of the stage
Super scenic mountain pass. Road literally goes up the side of a mountain with decent drops. Sound should be great there with engines echoing of the cliffs.

Spectating
Another stage with difficult access to the first 90% of the stage. The last 10% is good spectating and easy to leave when you want.
Start – Roads leading up to the start of the stage are not great, narrow so Id probably give it a miss.

Spot 1 – Towards the end of the stage, probably a 10 minute walk into the stage from the end. This article says there is a jump here. I can see it, but don’t expect rally Finland, the speed will not be that high here.

Finish – Not a bad spot to spectate. You can walk into the stage a few minutes and it will be quiet a fast section of road (a hundred or so meters from the jump). Parking up here should no problem. Road is wide. Generally I think everyone can find a good spot to spectate in this area without to much effort. And access is great when leaving, you will be heading towards Thessaloniki.

DETH Finish 16:10
The drivers return to DETH (Hellenic Expo) at 16:10 for Champagne.
DETH Rally/ΔΕΘ ΡΑΛΛΥ Spectating – General Tips
Some general tips from my experience of viewing DETH/ΔΕΘ rally stages over the years.
I think the roads close around 1 hour before the stage starts and reopen again when the course car goes through.
If you park your car along/in the stage (off the road obviously) then you’ll be trapped there for quiet a long time. Personally I park at the nearest access road and walk to the chosen spectating point. Sure it can take a while to get to your spot and back but at least you can leave when you want. The spectating points in this guide are close to where you can park a car and be able to leave when you want.
