FPL Free Hit Team GW5 2025
This is the choice FPL free hit team for GW5 in the 25/26 season, according to the StrikeEngine FPL points prediction tool.
Proviso
We are only 4 weeks into the season. We could still have freak results/games affecting a players predicted points.
Defenders
Calafiori, Guehi, Lacroix, Chalobah and Senesi.
The fixtures for all these players is also good according to the StrikeEngine FPL Fixture difficulty planner.
Midfielders
Semenyo, Enzo, Zubimendi, Gakpo, Grealish.
Salah doesn’t make it due to cost and lower predicted points versus the other players.
Grealish is a surprise considering he is playing Liverpool. Everton’s fixtures haven’t been the hardest so far either. What bumps Grealish predicted points up, is the low minutes he played against Leeds. His overall points are up there despite playing less minutes than the other midfielders in the Free Hit team.
Zubimendi also has a tough fixture against Man City but he makes it into the Free Hit team due to Man City’s relatively bad form.
Forwards
Haaland, Ekitike, Pedro.
Even though forwards appear to offer very badly value this year, the other picks in the team leave us with budget for a top front line.
Fixtures are decent for LIverpool and Chelsea. Man City on the other hand have a tough one against Arsenal away. Haaland makes it because due to his huge points hauls in GW1, 3 and 4. This overcomes the negatives of playing Arsenal according to the points predictor.
Goalkeepers
Raya, Henderson
Raya and Pope actually come out as the picks but Pope’s tough fixture against Bournemouth away rules him out for me. Likewise for Pickford. Haaland has a tough fixture but his points are much better than other forwards so it overcome the fixture difficulty for me. Henderson is fourth choice. Predicted points close to Raya and he has a good fixture also.

Very achievable budget wise to get the top picks this week. If you can’t make it to these players, use the PPV rating on the points predictor tool to get the next best choice. This Free Hit team has 5 defenders, 5 mids, 3 forwards and two keepers. Make a compromise on your last bench player and you should have enough budget.
