FPL Tool – Points Predictions

StrikeEngine FPL (this site) has average predicted points over the next five games. It takes into consideration many factors including past and future fixture difficulty. It doesn’t give the points exactly, rather how each player will score relative to others. In short it tells you who it thinks will score the most points over the next 5 game weeks. Sort by time, position, points and value individually or at the same time for a conditional filter (instructions are on the page).

FPL Tools – Fixture Difficulty

The in-house StrikeEngine FPL fixture difficulty planner has just been launched here. It gives data for gameweek 2 onwards. I think for gameweek 5 the numbers will really start to get proper context, until then there is a chance of fluke results skewing the numbers. The column headings are sortable, and at the moment I find it most helpful to see what the next gameweek fixture is like and then look at the next 5 gameweeks to see if the trend continues. I’m not really interested in choosing a team that only has an easy fixture next week but then goes to war for the next four. I want to see good fixtures next week and for the next 5.

FPL Hub also has a fixture difficulty tool here. I’m not 100% convinced by it but it looks nice. I think I prefer the official FPL ratings.

FPL Price Changes

Especially important at the start of the season when players prices can take real swings.

FPL HUB Price Changes is my go to. Easy to read at a glance and shows increases and decreases together.

Live FPL – Not as easy to have a quick take as FPL Hub but Live FPL price changes gives a bit more resolution with it’s progress bar.

The price moves between these two sites don’t always match so it’s worth checking both. When comparing the price moves the Live FPL progress bar helps give a sanity check to the predictions of both the sites.

If you want to do your own analysis, this page explains how to pull FPL player data into a csv which you can download onto your own computer.
