Intentionally or not, the released footage has been altered.
0:38 Foot inserted onto film
1:05 Foot moves with car not with surroundings
1:32 Frames are missing & frames have been added (added ie, frames have been repeated, presumably to fill in space caused by the cut frames)
2:28 Black dot added to film
2:57 No gradient with surroundings
Upshot.
Black area makes the lady seem harder to see than she actually was.
Missing frames. Not sure.

The lower exposure and black area make the victims actions seem stupid, when actually she *could* have rightly expected to have been seen by the car.
