BEV vs ICE – The Difference in CO2 Emissions

StrikeEngine Logo

For every KWH of electricity generated in the USA, 0.41 kg of CO2 is emitted.

For every KWH of energy generated by petrol ICE, 0.74 kg of CO2 is emitted for a 30% efficient engine.

When we factor in manufacturing costs, service life and component replacement costs eg batteries do we really see that big a difference?

(Assuming you believe CO2 emissions even matter)
