-I am so seriously impressed with the advance warning range of this unit, the incredibly low false warning ratio, and the bargain price of the unit. It delivers WAY more than the Escort 8500 X50 for half the price! It is one of the most cleat cut comparisons I have ever experienced; no fine line here. I am surprised that Escort gets away with delivering such mediocre results for your detector buying dollar.
-I’ve had my Beltronics Vector 940 for about two weeks. This is my first radar detector, and it seems to be getting the job done, and well at that. I’ve done a lot of research on radar detectors, and have been able to weed out the sub-par brands and models. I’d heard nothing but good things about Bel, Whistler, and Escort detectors, and only the former two had products in my price range (sub-two hundred).

-This radar detector is by far the Best i’ve ever experienced! Not alot of false alarms. When when the KA Band starts sounding off, you best believe there’s a Police Car and /or Radar gun in the area. I could not be more pleased with what i was looking for in a Radar Detector!
-I’ve really enjoyed having the PRO 200 and it works GREAT on the open Hwy. I pickup the po po at least a mile away and further sometimes. In the city trees, building, cars etc etc can block the signal more. It’s still VERY satisfactory even though the PRO 300 is a little faster and more sensitive.

-It covers all common band radar detection including X, K, Ka, and 360 degree detection of laser signals. The laser reader lens is atop the device and reacts to signals both in front of and behind the car (assuming it is mounted in the proper position.)
-In the city you can change mode to filter out more of those false alarms. I played with it some but I have just left it on highway for my purposes- the tones are different for store systems and radar traps and it’s been interesting seeing where the signals are coming from. If it gets annoying I’ll change it.

-I chose to give this detector five stars because it seems to be much faster than its predecessors, Beltronics V940 & V6 detectors in K/KA band. I have dozens of other detectors and the sensitivity to this device is pretty amazing, however, my RX65 S7 is still a bit faster in response I/O radar than the Pro 100.
-This is essentially the same detector as the Vector 940. It has the same M4 horn and menu options. So it will perform the same. Beltronics changed the color of it t to black and gave it a new model designation. If you don’t mind the silver color of the 940 purchase it. You can save some money. I own a 940 and it is the best detector you will get in its price range.

-At first I was a little intimidated by all the functions and features of this model. There is really is not much more one could ask for options on a radar detector. However thanks to a well laid out instruction booklet and a user friendly button system, it took me really no time at all to customize this baby for whatever driving situation I was in.
-3-1-14 As promised I made my trip to Austin and back and the detector worked perfectly. I read many reviews where people complain about it “beeping” all the time. 1) I think they just do not have it set up right and 2) I do not think most people understand a detectors limitations. For me I have gotten no false signals, but have gotten several “X” signals which are typically motion alarms or detectors.
