Young Driver Insurance UK Brokers – Top 4

Below is list of our top 4 brokers offering young driver insurance in the UK.

When shopping for the best deal its worth remembering you generally get what you pay for. The UK is not short of companies offering young driver insurance and if you shop around you can probably save hundreds if not thousands of pounds but look at reviews from other young drivers and other drivers in general, how do they find the service? Does the service match the cost? Is the cheap quote potentially more hassle or problematic that it is worth?

Insurance brokers with the cheapest premiums will probably not offer the same perks and level of service versus the big names brands.

If you need to make a claim

Regardless of who is at fault, with the low cost insurers you can expect to be intimately involved with the claim procedure. Any little detail will need to be replied to and you may find yourself going back and forth between your insurer replying to questions and statements asked by the third party.

With larger insurers the process can be more streamlined. As long as your initial statement is truthful and complete as far as you can remember, they will deal with the third party insurance company on your behalf. The only thing you may need to do is perhaps give them a nudge occasionally to find out what is happening.

The experiences at either end of the price spectrum can be very different. And again, it comes back to getting what you pay for.

A much better (read stress free experience) with the large insurer vs lots of stress and work with the cheap insurer, should the worst happen and you need to make a claim.

Young Driver Insurance UK – Top 4

The StrikeEngine directory of companies specialising in young driver insurance UK. Customer review score at time of writing is displayed next to the name. These are not necessarily the top 4 brokers in the UK, just the top 4 that we have found.

Adrian Flux (3.6 of out 5)

Well established broker which started way back when Max Power was a powerhouse of UK magazine publishing.

We understand that not every young driver is the same, which is why we’ve created FluxScore, an app that rewards your safe driving and gives you daily updates on how you’re doing. Speak to one of our representatives to save up to 60% on premiums!

Direct Line (4 out of 5)

Not an car insurance company I’d associate with young driver insurance but they have developed and Android app for drivers under 26. I’ve seen reviews of these insurance apps and the users weren’t impressed with the scoring systems. I have no idea how advanced the Direct Line app is but if nothing else, it’s helpful to get an extra quote.

Using telematics technology, we’ll monitor your driving skills and potentially save you money based on your performance.

Performance Direct (3.5 out of 5)

Another insurance company from the days of Max Power. Still around today and still popular so I assume they are doing something right. They specialise in insurance for modified cars and new drivers. They would be on my short list for a young driver insurance quote

A-Plan Insurance (4.3 out of 5)

Not a company I’d associate with young driver insurance but the reviews are among the best so I had to include them here.

Their website has a FAQ dedicated to young driver insurance
